ONE SENTENCE REVIEW: Definitely worth it because it’s absolutely amazing, but if you aren’t into apocalypses/aliens or a small side of cheesy-ness, it’s not for you.

Review: Right off the bat the vague yet bold opening pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I was taken on a wild ride that left me shaken...and waiting longingly for the third book (of course, if you are reading this review and the third book is already out, well, you won’t have the same problem). The book is fast-paced and emotionally thrilling; you won’t be able to put it down. Each character has a unique backstory and interesting personality, contrasting beautifully. Nobody can be perfect, but these characters come pretty damn close. The only criticism I have is that there are some scenarios that are unrealistic and/or predictable. The plot twists weren’t that surprising; this didn’t necessarily take away from the plot, but it didn’t add any favorable elements either. Overall The 5th Wave is a must-read that you will never forget.
